Scotland 365 • Crowdfunding Photography Project
Hello and thank you for stopping by,

My name is Jeremy, a Belgian freelance photographer who relocated to Scotland in 2014. During the first six years, I have discovered so many beautiful places in my adoptive country and learned a lot too about the local history, which is also a passion of mine. I'm fortunate to already have visited so many places here in Scotland and to create some lovely landscape photographs of the beautiful Scottish sceneries but, there is a lot more to be done yet…

Unfortunately, the year 2020 was the year of the COVID-19 Pandemic and most of my business activities had to be shut down. Not only that, but after coming slowly out of this dramatic period of time, early in 2021, I was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer. I had chemo therapy for a few months and also a massive surgery taking part of my oesophagus and stomach… but I’m so grateful to have had a wonderful medical team taking great care of me and allowing me to still be here today.
Following this very harsh experience, I wrote a book to relate my story and also to help others to get the motivation and strength to fight the cancer disease. This book was called "One Life", you can read more details about it here. I'm now in full recovery mode and progressively rebuilding my beloved photography business. Now, is really the best time for me to start my photography project and to show the beauty of Scotland...

My photography project, called 'Scotland 365', is a journey all over Scotland (mainland and all islands), to create a huge library of stunning photographs within the four seasons of the year. At the end of the project, the library should contain 3000+ stunning high-resolution photos.
Considering the vast area to cover, to do something like that as a part-time project would normally take several years. So, I did a financial estimation and it will cost me roughly between £7,500 and £9,000 (GBP) to fully bring this project to life within a shortest period of time (between 1 and 2 years). The expenses will be mostly travel costs (Car petrol, ferries connecting to the islands, minimal accommodations when working far North or on the islands...) but also a full-year membership with the two historical associations owning most of the castles and other historic landmarks, a full year of mechanic assistance coverage for the car…

So, here I am looking for external support and starting my Crowdfunding campaign directly from my website while offering rewarding perks. If you wish to share this page as wide as possible, it will also be very appreciated of course. Thank you for that too!

Raising £7,500-£9,000 is  a lot of money but the good thing is, I don't need to have it all before starting touring around the Country and take photographs. All monetary participation is helping me to move forward with this project.

Like any other Crowdfunding project, you’ll have several support options available. When raising money for a big project like that, there is no “too small” support you can receive. Every little help is truly and genuinely appreciated to the highest level. Please see below what are the available funding options and, for most of them what are the perks I’ll be offering in exchange for your kind support.

Thank you very much for your support.

Kind regards,

Jeremy

IMPORTANT!
There are already a few hundreds of photographs in the first library I started with Scottish landscapes. Anyone licensing a picture with a digital download or buying a canvas or a print of the already available images at AlbaPictures.Com will also contribute to the fundraising for this project. Another easy way to help me moving forward and for you, to directly get something in return.
